Kalvin Kapoor, DO

Medical Director | Board-Certified Psychiatrist

Dr. Kalvin Kapoor is a board-certified psychiatrist and Medical Director at Meadowhill Behavioral Health. He brings extensive experience in clinical psychiatry, psychiatric leadership, and the oversight of behavioral health services across a variety of treatment settings.

Dr. Kapoor earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree and completed his residency training in psychiatry in Florida. Throughout his career, he has worked across outpatient, telepsychiatry, and higher-acuity behavioral health settings, with experience managing a broad range of psychiatric conditions, including depression, anxiety and panic disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder, bipolar disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, ADHD, substance use disorders, and complex co-occurring conditions.

In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Kapoor has extensive experience providing psychiatric leadership, clinical consultation, and supervision to psychiatric nurse practitioners and multidisciplinary behavioral health teams. He has served in Medical Director and consulting roles and has contributed to clinical quality initiatives, psychiatric policy development, credentialing, and standards of care. He is licensed to practice medicine across numerous states, allowing him to bring a broad perspective on behavioral health delivery and clinical practice.

As Medical Director of Meadowhill Behavioral Health, Dr. Kapoor provides psychiatric leadership and clinical oversight, collaborates with the psychiatric and clinical teams, and provides guidance on complex cases and treatment planning. He is committed to maintaining high standards of psychiatric care while supporting a thoughtful, evidence-based, and individualized approach to treatment.

Dr. Kapoor believes effective behavioral healthcare requires looking beyond symptoms alone and understanding each patient within the context of their individual experiences, environment, family, and goals. At Meadowhill, his focus is on helping ensure that adolescents and their families receive compassionate, clinically sound, and coordinated care in a safe and supportive treatment environment.

Michelle Bechta, LPN

Nurse

Michelle Bechta is a Licensed Practical Nurse at Meadow Hill Behavioral Health with a diverse professional background and extensive experience working with children and young people. Before entering nursing, Michelle worked as a kindergarten teacher and later in accounting before a personal family experience inspired her to pursue a career in healthcare.
Michelle developed an interest in psychiatric nursing during her clinical training and has since worked across primary care, pediatrics, public schools, and behavioral health settings. Her experience includes serving students from preschool through young adulthood and working in residential programming for children and families, where she advanced to a nursing leadership role. At Meadow Hill, Michelle brings compassion, clinical experience, and a genuine appreciation for supporting adolescents through important periods of growth and recovery.
Outside of work, Michelle enjoys cooking, gardening, exploring thrift and antique stores, and spending time with her family.

Daylin Chaplin, MSN, APRN, FNP-C, PMHNP-C

Prescriber

Daylin Chaplin is a dual-certified Family Nurse Practitioner and Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with more than 10 years of experience as a nurse practitioner. Her clinical background spans family medicine, cardiology, addiction medicine, and psychiatric mental health care, giving her a well-rounded perspective on the relationship between physical and emotional health.
At Meadow Hill Behavioral Health, Daylin provides psychiatric assessment, medication management, and ongoing clinical support for adolescents in treatment. She is passionate about individualized, collaborative care and works closely with clients, families, and the broader treatment team to support emotional and behavioral stability. Daylin also values helping young people and their families better understand mental health conditions, treatment options, and the role medication may play within a comprehensive treatment plan.
Outside of work, Daylin enjoys reading, hiking, spending time with her family, and being with her two golden retrievers.

Bianca P. Gonzalez Perez, MA, LMHC

Lead Clinician

Bianca Gonzalez Perez is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with experience providing individual, family, and group therapy to adolescents and adults in residential, detoxification, and outpatient settings. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology and master’s degree in Counseling Psychology in Puerto Rico and continues to pursue opportunities to expand her clinical expertise.
Bianca’s clinical interests include anxiety, depression, trauma, emotional regulation, Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, family systems, and substance use disorders. Her integrative approach incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and trauma-informed care. She is passionate about creating a supportive therapeutic environment where adolescents and families feel heard, understood, and empowered. Bianca also has a special interest in incorporating animal-assisted interventions to support engagement and emotional regulation.
Outside of work, Bianca enjoys crocheting, traveling, playing video games, spending time with her pets, and exploring creative activities.

Karter Grant, LMHC, NCC, MBA

Clinical Director

Karter Grant serves as Clinical Director at Meadow Hill Behavioral Health, where he provides clinical leadership and supports the delivery of safe, individualized, and high-quality residential treatment for adolescents and their families. He is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and National Certified Counselor with graduate training in mental health counseling and a Master of Business Administration.
Karter brings extensive experience in behavioral health leadership, residential treatment, community-based services, and clinical practice. His clinical interests include trauma-informed care, family systems, adolescent development, emotional regulation, and helping young people and families navigate complex behavioral health challenges. In addition to his work at Meadow Hill, Karter maintains a clinical counseling and consulting practice and has taught psychology at Pace University for more than a decade.
Outside of work, Karter is a lifelong runner who enjoys 5Ks, 10Ks, and half marathons, as well as spending time with his wife, children, and pets.

Stefanie Hadley, LCSW

Clinician

Stefanie Hadley is a Licensed Certified Social Worker who earned her Master of Social Work from Westfield State University. She has experience supporting children, adolescents, and families across a variety of settings and is committed to helping young people build resilience, strengthen relationships, and develop practical skills for navigating life’s challenges.
Stefanie’s clinical experience includes child development, family systems, crisis intervention, and multidisciplinary care. Her therapeutic approach incorporates evidence-based practices including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), trauma-informed care, and family-centered interventions. She places a strong emphasis on creating trusting therapeutic relationships and helping clients and families work toward meaningful, sustainable progress.
Outside of work, Stefanie enjoys spending time with her husband and three cats, being outdoors, visiting the beach, discovering coffee shops, working on puzzles, and antiquing.

Jean Hernandez

BHT Supervisor

Jean Hernandez serves as the Behavioral Health Technician Supervisor at Meadow Hill Behavioral Health. He brings more than six years of experience in residential treatment, including roles in direct care, case management, and leadership. His background has given him a strong understanding of both the client experience and the importance of supporting the team members who provide day-to-day care.
At Meadow Hill, Jean helps oversee the Behavioral Health Technician team and works to create a residential environment grounded in consistency, compassion, teamwork, and respect. He enjoys mentoring staff, supporting their professional growth, and helping ensure adolescents receive attentive and reliable support throughout their time in treatment. Jean strives to be approachable and to foster an environment where clients, families, and staff feel heard and respected.
Outside of work, Jean enjoys playing video games, spending time with his family, and hanging out with his dog.

Ceili LaChance

Case Manager

Ceili LaChance serves as a Case Manager at Meadow Hill Behavioral Health. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Philosophy from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, along with a Certificate in Social Work and Social Welfare. Her early behavioral health experience included working as a Behavioral Health Technician in an inpatient psychiatric hospital with both adolescents and adults.
Ceili’s passion for working with young people grew through additional experience supporting children in a summer camp setting. She later joined Meadow Hill as a Behavioral Health Technician before advancing into her current case management role. Her combination of direct-care and case management experience helps her understand the many practical, emotional, and family considerations involved in residential treatment. She is passionate about helping adolescents and their families feel supported and connected throughout the treatment process.
Outside of work, Ceili enjoys hiking, sewing, making jewelry, and spending time with family and friends.

Zhanna Zhuravel

Case Manager

Zhanna Zhuravel serves as a Case Manager at Meadow Hill Behavioral Health and has been part of the team since the beginning of the residential program. Her experience includes both direct client care and case management, giving her a strong understanding of the day-to-day residential environment and the needs of adolescents receiving treatment.
In her current role, Zhanna helps coordinate individualized care plans, communicates with clients, families, clinicians, and other members of the treatment team, and assists with referrals, appointments, educational needs, and aftercare planning. She values clear communication, organization, consistency, and advocacy in helping clients and families navigate the treatment process.
Outside of work, Zhanna enjoys painting, baking and decorating cakes, spending time with her pets, and exploring new creative interests.

Susan Smiga, MD

Medical Director & Psychiatric Consultant

Dr. Susan Smiga is a board-certified child and adolescent psychiatrist with more than 30 years of experience in clinical care, consultation, training, and supervision. At Meadow Hill Behavioral Health, she serves as Medical Director and Psychiatric Consultant, supporting the clinical team and helping guide thoughtful, comprehensive care for adolescents.
Dr. Smiga has extensive experience working with individuals with complex behavioral health and co-occurring needs, as well as supporting program development and clinical research. She is certified in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and brings a broad, wellness-focused perspective to her work. Her approach considers the many factors that can influence an adolescent’s emotional, behavioral, and overall well-being.
Outside of her professional work, Dr. Smiga enjoys gardening, spending time with her dogs and family, and preparing to welcome her first grandchild.
